Manager Phil Parkinson says he will “wait and see” whether he will be able to add to Wrexham’s squad with the possibility of players leaving on loan.

Wrexham, back in League One after a 19-year absence, have made seven permanent signings during the summer.

The summer transfer window closes on Friday, 30 August at 23:00 BST.

“In terms of incomings we’ll just have to wait and see,” Parkinson said.

“It’s a hard market out there and if we bring one in then great but if not I’m really happy with the lads I’ve got and enjoy watching them step up to the plate.

“There might be one or two leaving us in terms of loan options for players who find themselves out of the reckoning at the moment.”

Striker Paul Mullin continues to make good progress following minor spinal surgery in the summer, which has meant him missing the opening weeks of the campaign.

Parkinson said the 29-year-old would be assessed ahead of Saturday’s home game against Reading.

“Mulls is getting closer,” Parkinson added.

“He’s getting sharper all the time, which you’d expect.

“He obviously missed the pre-season but we’re trying to incorporate football training and we’ll assess him once again leading into the weekend’s game.”

Wrexham and Saturday’s opponents Reading, Parkinson’s former club, have four points each from their opening two League One games.
