Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson says injuries are "part and parcel" of a season, following a collarbone injury to new signing Chris Conn-Clarke.
The Northern Ireland Under-21 international was taken off during Posh's 3-2 home victory over Bristol Rovers on Saturday, as was striker Ricky-Jade Jones, who has an ankle injury.
"Chris is going to be out, he's going to need an operation," Ferguson, whose team will face Leyton Orient on Tuesday,told 大象传媒 Cambridgeshire Sport.
"We're probably looking with the operation six or so weeks. Brad's [Bradley Ihionvien] still injured. Ricky's a doubt.
"We've got one or two issues at the top end of the pitch but we'll just go there hopefully and give a good performance."
Left-back Rio Adebisi (knee), and midfielders Mahamadou Susoho (thigh) and Ryan de Havilland (knee) are also sidelined.
"Obviously you don't want injuries but they're part and parcel of the game and we've had quite a few this season," said Ferguson.
"Saturday's was so unlucky for Chris in terms of it was a nothing and then obviously his collarbone's popped.
"It gives an opportunity to someone else, so Cian [Hayes] will come into my thinking obviously as well as one or two others that haven't been in the squad."
Ferguson will be hoping his injury-hit side can ride out what is a congested period of fixtures for Peterborough.
Following the visit to Orient, Posh will go on the road again to promotion favourites Birmingham City on Saturday before playing at Wigan Athletic next Tuesday in what will be their third game in seven days.
They currently sit 10th in the League One table, on 10 points.
