James Ward-Prowse is due for a medical at Nottingham Forest after they agreed a loan deal with West Ham.
It is a straight loan for the season, with no option or obligation to buy, with the midfielder currently travelling to Nottingham.
The 29-year-old only joined the Hammers from Southampton for £30m last summer but does not feature in new manager Julen Lopetegui's plans.
Benfica defender Morato is also poised to move to the City Ground in a deal worth around 15m euros (£12.6m).
The 23-year-old Brazilian has made 78 appearances for Benfica, with Forest currently working on the deal.
