Bristol City have appointed Romaney Pinnock as their first head of women's football.
, the Robins confirmed the new position will oversee a fresh strategy for the women's side including the development of home-grown players as well as increasing the supporter base.
"Bristol City feels like the type of football club that I’ll be proud to be part of – from their approach to growing the women’s game, to their community engagement, and everything in between," Pinnock said.
She joins the club after just over a year as head of women’s football at the South African Football Association.
The news comes as the Robins' head coach Lauren Smith resigned on Tuesday after a three-year spell in charge.
The Robins suffered relegation to the Women's Championship in April after Smith had guided them into the Women's Super League in 2023.
