Lincoln City have signed midfielder JJ McKiernan from Morecambe after he turned down an offer of a new contract with the League Two club.
The 22-year-old joins the Imps on a four-year deal, having scored seven goals in 28 league appearances in his solitary campaign with the Shrimps.
McKiernan, a former Watford youth player who failed to make a senior appearance for the Hornets, will be stepping up to League One for the first time having featured at non-league level with Eastleigh on loan before moving to Morecambe last summer.
"JJ is a really exciting player," Imps boss Michael Skubala told
"He has the technical and physical attributes we look for in his position, can create and score goals."
