Colchester's Egbo 'convinced' more wins will come
Colchester United's Mandela Egbo believes repetition of training ground routines and maintaining match-day performance levels will soon be reflected in their results.
The Essex side have opened the League Two campaign with five points from their opening five games and visit struggling Morecambe on Saturday.
"It would be more of a concern if we couldn't emulate what we're doing in training out on the pitch," Egbo told 大象传媒 Essex
"It's just about repetition of things we're doing defensively and in attack and there'll be a team we meet soon who we'll score a few against."
The 27 year-old spent two months of last season on the sidelines after suffering a serious knee injury against MK Dons on Boxing Day.
"I'd be enjoying it more if we had a few more wins on the board but in terms of playing I'm happy anywhere down the right-hand side.
"I'm trying to impact the game at both ends of the pitch which, as a right wing-back or right-sided centre-half, I'm getting the chance to do."
Colchester have had four seasons of struggle in League Two, including avoiding relegation on the final day of last season, and their only win so far this term came at home to MK Dons last month.
"We have to ensure we're concentrating for 90 minutes at the back and in attack keep putting the ball into dangerous positions and I'm convinced it will all come together," Egbo added.
