Daichi Kamada has had a mixed time at Crystal Palace since signing for the club.

Brought in by Oliver Glasner - Kamada played under him at Eintracht Frankfurt - he was signed as a way for the manager to continue to get his ideas of how he likes to play over to the squad.

Things have not gone as to plan for Kamada as he or the supporters would like.

Although he has very good technique, he has looked at times as if he is struggling to deal with the physicality in the Premier League.

He has also not found a settled position in the side and has been used as a number 10 and a number six.

He had a tough moment when he came on, giving the ball away in the lead-up to Aston Villa's equalising goal, but the 28-year-old went on to score the winner and you could see how much it meant to him.

Glasner said after the match that Kamada has looked "like he wants it too much" and the goal will give him a big boost.

Eberechi Eze and Adam Wharton both limped out of the match and the Eagles have a big game against Wolves on Saturday.

If either of those two are out, it provides a big chance for Kamada to come in and maybe get his Palace career going in the way he would like.
