Swindon Town have signed defender Grant Hall and teenage midfielder Dylan Mitchell on permanent deals.

Hall previously played for the Robins during a loan spell from Tottenham Hotspur during the 2013-14 season.

The 32-year-old most recently played for Rotherham United after a spell at Middlesbrough and made almost 200 appearances for QPR over five seasons.

"I'm glad to get it over the line, after leaving Rotherham, I wanted to get something sorted as soon as possible so I could get in for pre-season and set the foundation for the start of the season," Hall said.

He becomes Swindon's eighth signing following the addition of Mitchell, who was released by Aston Villa.

Mitchell, 18, did not make a first-team appearance for the Premier League club, but he provided two assists in 18 matches for Villa's under-18's last season and also spent time on loan at non-league side Alvechurch.

"We are delighted that Dylan has joined us at Swindon Town following stiff competition from other teams in the league," head of football Jamie Russell told the Swindon Town website.

"He has had an exceptional footballing education with Aston Villa and has already started to achieve success within men's first-team football, this is shown by an outstanding loan period with Alvechurch.

"After a spell with the club on trial we think he has a bright future in the game and someone we can work with develop both as a person and as a player."

Swindon have also confirmed the departure of Williams Kokolo, who has left by mutual consent.

The defender made 28 appearances after joining in November 2023.

"Williams is a player we were keen to work with for the upcoming season, but unfortunately due to family reasons, he departs the club with our best wishes as he will return to France to be with his family," Russell said.
