Elliott Powell feels his Jersey Bulls side can do better despite their 2-0 win over Chipstead in Combined Counties Premier South.

Karl Hinds' long-range lob put the islanders ahead four minutes before half-time.

Luke Watson headed in Rai Dos Santos' corner midway through the second half to seal the win.

The victory moved the Bulls - who are unbeaten in 13 league matches under new boss Powell - to third in the table.

The islanders have not conceded a goal in their last seven matches and are seven points off leaders Redhill with two games in hand.

"I thought first half in particular we were quite poor - a moment on quality from Hindsy with a chip from 25 or 30 yards out put us ahead of the game," Powell told 大象传媒 Radio Jersey.

"But really we hadn't asked enough questions of a Chipstead side that were really well organised and sat in and made it difficult to break down.

"We were poor first half, I thought, second half we controlled it a little bit more, we got the ball in higher areas and the goal felt like it was coming.

"I'm happy to get over the line, but certainly room for improvement ahead of some tough tests coming up in the next few games."
