Wolfsburg centre-back Maxence Lacroix is set to sign for Crystal Palace in a deal worth up to 拢18m, subject to him passing a medical.

The 24-year-old has less than a year remaining on his contract and has been targeted by the Eagles throughout this transfer window.

The Frenchman, who joined Wolfsburg in 2020 and made 130 appearances for them, played under Palace boss Oliver Glasner when he was in charge of the German side.

Palace have sold centre-back Joachim Andersen to Fulham in a deal worth up to 拢30m, while England international Marc Guehi is wanted by Newcastle.

Meanwhile, central defender Chadi Riad, who joined Palace from Barcelona in June, limped out of Tuesday's win over Norwich in the Carabao Cup and that could leave Glasner with a defensive problem for Sunday's Premier League game at Chelsea.
