Welsh treble winners Cardiff City have been drawn against FC Twente in the first round of the 2024-25 Uefa Women鈥檚 Champions League.

Unseeded Cardiff will face the Dutch seeds in a semi-final, with the winners to play either Valur of Iceland or North Macedonia's ZFK Ljuboten in Group Five's final.

Winners of 11 groups in the Champions Path then join higher-profile qualifiers from a League Path in round two, where ties are played over two legs.

Each first round mini-tournament will be hosted by one of the participants, with the two semi-finals to be played on Wednesday, 4 September, before the finals and third-place play-offs on Saturday, 7 September.

Last season Cardiff lost to Gintra of Lithuania in their semi-final before defeat to Irish side Shelbourne in a third-place play-off.

Iain Darbyshire鈥檚 side are returning to the Champions League after retaining the Adran Premier title in March, sealing top-spot with a 4-0 win over rivals Swansea City, who finished nine points behind in second place.

They also beat Swansea in April's Adran Trophy final, before completing the treble with a 2-0 win over Wrexham in the Women's Welsh Cup final at Rodney Parade in May.
