Lincoln sign defender Hamer from Burton
Lincoln City have signed defender Tom Hamer from League One rivals Burton Albion on a three-year deal.
The 24-year-old made 147 appearances for the Brewers after moving to the east Staffordshire side from Oldham in January 2021.
Hamer, who had a year remaining on his Burton deal and moves for an undisclosed fee, played 32 games last season as the Brewers avoided relegation to League Two on the final day of the season.
"Tom is a real warrior on the pitch, has an 鈥榦ld school鈥 defender鈥檚 mentality and a really useful long throw, which will give us another attacking threat," Lincoln boss Michael Skubala told
Hamer is Lincoln's ninth summer addition and second in as many days, with midfielder Dom Jefferies arriving on Thursday.
The defender could make his debut for Lincoln at the Pirelli Stadium he has just left, with the Imps starting their 2024-25 campaign against Burton.
