Swindon Town have renamed their County Ground stadium as The Nigel Eady County Ground for next season, in memory of a lifelong fan.
Robins supporter Eady died in 2012, having left the club as the beneficiary of his estate in his will.
Last year, The Nigel Eady Trust, set up to help the League Two side, funded the purchase of the County Ground from Swindon Borough Council.
The club and its supporters trust now share 50-50 ownership of the stadium site.
鈥淲e are delighted to announce that we are naming the County Ground Stadium The Nigel Eady County Ground Stadium for the 2024-25 Season," Swindon Town chairman, Clem Morfuni, and chief executive, Anthony Hall, said in a joint statement.
鈥淲e thank Nigel Eady for his generosity which has led to the purchase."
Rob Carter and Jez Webb from the Nigel Eady Trust added: 鈥淭he purchase of the ground was the culmination of 10 years of work for The Eady Trustees.
鈥淥ur thanks go to the club for making this naming a possibility.
"Nigel would have been delighted.鈥
