New investors will be 'fantastic fit' for Wrexham

Manager Phil Parkinson says Wrexham's new investors will be a "fantastic fit" for the League One club and confirmed he has already met them to talk about their plans.
Wrexham have sold a minority club stake to the Allyn family, who owned global medical device company Welch Allyn for more than a century.
Eric Allyn, the manager and chief investment officer of the Allyn鈥檚 family office, and his daughter Kaleen have already been spotted at Wrexham's Stok Racecourse Ground this season.
"I've met Eric and his daughter Kaleen, and they鈥檙e just great people. A fantastic fit for the club," said Parkinson.
"They came down to the training ground last week and we had a great chat with them.
"They鈥檙e so enthusiastic about coming on this journey with the club and the impact they can hopefully make."
The Allyn family join Hollywood duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who officially became majority owners of the club in February 2021, in owning a stake in the north Wales side.
The New York-based family sold their company in 2015 and now focus on "purpose-driven investments in private and public markets".
Wrexham say the investment, made through Red Dragon Ventures LLC, "will help fuel the club鈥檚 lofty ambitions, as well as those of the broader Wrexham community".
Their involvement may help Wrexham achieve a third successive promotion and stabilise the club in the Championship if they get there.
But Parkinson, who has guided the club from the National League to League One under the ownership of Reynolds and McElhenney, says the Allyn family's interest extends beyond what happens on the pitch.
"We talked about the club, the team, the area in general and all the things they鈥檙e interested in," said Parkinson.
"Like Rob and Ryan, they鈥檝e got a great interest in not just the team on a Saturday afternoon but also the area and the impact on the area.
"Anyone in and around Wrexham can see that what Rob and Ryan set out to do was build a football club that could have a knock-on effect for the whole area, and Eric and Kaleen have got a complete buy-in with that."
Wrexham currently sit third in League One having collected 25 points from their opening 13 matches of the campaign.
They are preparing for Sunday's FA Cup tie at League Two Harrogate - a side who knocked Wrexham out of the competition in 2021, Parkinson's first season in charge.
