World Gymnastics Championships: Japan's Daiki Hashimoto defends all-around world title
Japan's Daiki Hashimoto defended his men's all-around title at the World Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp.
Olympic champion Hashimoto claimed gold with a score of 86.132, while Ukraine's Illia Kovtun won silver and American Frederick Richard bronze.
Japan's Kenta Chiba missed out on the podium after falling from the high bar on his final rotation.
Great Britain's James Hall finished ninth and Jake Jarman 13th.
"I'd lost my confidence a little from qualification for the team final and today I was a little bit shaky, but the back half picked up and now I'm top 10 in the world, so I will definitely take that," Hall said.
Britain finished fourth in Tuesday's men's team final as Japan took gold.
Britain's women were sixth in the team event as Simone Biles led the United States to a record seventh consecutive title on Wednesday.
The women's all-around final takes place on Friday, with live coverage on 大象传媒 Two, 大象传媒 iPlayer and the 大象传媒 Sport website from 18:30 BST.
