Monday is the final day of the Commonwealth Games - where has that gone?

268 gold medals have already been decided and there are just 12 more up for grabs on the final day in Birmingham.

Much of the action will take place in the morning and finish with the men's hockey gold medal match before Birmingham's Alexander Stadium will be lit up once more for the closing ceremony.

And after 11 days of competition, who will top the medal table?

There were more highs and lows on an historic day of medals for the home nations - here are some of the best bits from the action in Birmingham.

It's been a busy one. Here's what happened on the penultimate day of action at Birmingham 2022:

• England beat Australia to claim a first ever Commonwealth Games gold medal in women's hockey;
• On the track, Scotland's Laura Muir took 1500m gold while Eilish McColgan won silver in the 5000m;
• England's women won a dramatic 4x400m relay gold - and were then disqualified for a lane infringement, promoting Scotland to bronze;
• England's men successfully defended their 4x100m title, while the women's quartet won silver behind Nigeria;
• England's Matt Hudson-Smith was denied men's 400m gold by Zambia's Muzala Samukonga, before Victoria Ohuruogu took silver in the women's race and team-mate Jodie Williams claimed the bronze; England's Cindy Sember also won bronze in the women's 100m hurdles;
• Scotland's Neah Evans won silver in cycling's women's road race and Finn Crockett took bronze in the men's event;
• Scotland's Sam Hickey and Sean Lazzerini won boxing golds, as Rosie Eccles won the women's light middleweight title for Wales;
• Northern Ireland boxer Jude Gallagher won the men's featherweight title after his opponent withdrew, while Dylan Eagleson won men's bantamweight gold;

• England's Demie-Jade Resztan took silver in the women's minimumweight final and team-mate Kiaran MacDonald also won silver in the men's flyweight final;
• England's Paul Drinkhall and Liam Pitchford won gold in the table tennis men's doubles while Pitchford won his men's singles semi-final and will go in the gold medal match on Monday;
• Para-table tennis player Joshua Stacey won Wales' sixth gold of the Games after defeating Lin Ma in the final of the men's table tennis singles classes 8-10;

• Twins Javier and Joaquin Bello cruised to a historic triumph as they won England's first beach volleyball medal;
• New Zealand denied England bronze medals in the netball and cricket while Australia beat India to win gold in the cricket.

Canada lead the deciding set 8-7 and I wouldn't like to put money on who is going to win. It is so tight.

The third set is played to 15 points. All sets must be won by at least a two-point margin.

It seems that both Jodie Williams and Victoria Ohuruogu ran out of their lane at that first changeover - into lane two when they should have been staying in lane three.

Canada have edged ahead in the second set and currently lead 13-11.

One of the cameramen perched on what looks like an exercise ball courtside just headed the ball back after it had been knocked out of court, all while continuing to film! Skills.

Birmingham boxer Delicious Orie on winning super-heavyweight gold in front of his home fans: "I was a little bit of an emotional wreck earlier, but when that final bell went I knew I had it in the bag.

"The only way I did it was through the support of the fans after that first round.

"I knew I didn't win it, I was down in the corner, I had two rounds to prove myself and I have never heard a roar like I heard today.

"I am so proud to be English and British. The fans are the best fans in the world.

"I knew I was down, my coach told me I was down. I felt the pressure a bit bit I knew I had two rounds to prove myself and I was not going to let anyone else win. I was determined. There was no way. You were going to have to kill me in there for me to lose.

"There is no way I would have walked down those steps afterwards to get a silver medal - that's just the way my mentality has been since I started."

On orchestrating the crowd before the start of the final round: "I have never felt anything like this before. It is like a drug, I am addicted to it.

"Over the next few years as I continue my boxing career, I want to bring the English fans together to watch Delicious Orie box. I feel like this is what I live for. This is going to be my career and I can't wait to bring people together."

Incredible performance because Delicious Orie lost the opening round so he has done it the hard way. Sagar played his part - he caught Orie with some good shots. But Orie came back with a tremendous response - with a bit of extra quality and bulldog spirit. What a performance.
