  3. Postpublished at 22:04 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

Van Gerwen 6-1 Van der Voort

Two 180s and an average of 94.06 for Michael van Gerwen.

Like Luke Littler and Luke Humphries before him, it was nowhere near the level we know he's capable of but it was still more than good enough to progress.

He's through to face Raymond van Barneveld in another all-Dutch quarter-final.

  4. Van Gerwen wraps it uppublished at 22:02 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

Van Gerwen 6-1 Van der Voort

An impressive finish to a rather disappointing contest.

Michael van Gerwen with a 94 finish to seal the win and knock out his friend and fellow Dutchman Vincent van der Voort.

  5. MVG one leg awaypublished at 22:00 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

Van Gerwen 5-1 Van der Voort

Much better from Michael van Gerwen as he takes out 96 to break and go within one leg of victory.

    A 14-dart leg as well.

  6. MVG restores three-leg leadpublished at 21:59 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

Van Gerwen 4-1 Van der Voort

This is fairly uninspiring stuff, in truth, but Michael van Gerwen is grinding his way towards victory.

Having threatened to get going a couple of legs back, MVG has slumped a bit again but is doing enough.

  7. Van der Voort on the boardpublished at 21:57 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

Van Gerwen 3-1 Van der Voort

Vincent van der Voort is still averaging below 80 but he is up and running with a hold of throw.

He hits the double 16 he needs to take the leg. Another in which neither player was anywhere near their best.

  8. Van Gerwen three uppublished at 21:55 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

Van Gerwen 3-0 Van der Voort

What was I saying... ignore it. Michael van Gerwen comes to life after another middling visit and hits back-to-back 180s.

With his fellow Dutchman some way back, MVG hits double eight to secure the leg.

  9. Van Gerwen breakspublished at 21:53 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

Van Gerwen 2-0 Van der Voort

The first maximum of the match goes the way of Vincent van der Voort.

It's not enough for the Dutch Destroyer, though.

Michael van Gerwen hits the bottom corner of the double 10 to break.

Neither player is firing on all cylinders as yet.

  10. MVG holdspublished at 21:51 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

Van Gerwen 1-0 Van der Voort

A steady, shall we say, start from both players.

Michael van Gerwen is comfortably ahead throughout, though, and the moment Vincent van der Voort gets himself onto a finish, MVG closes out the leg.

  11. Postpublished at 21:48 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

Van Gerwen 0-0 Van der Voort

Michael van Gerwen will get things started in the final match of the night.

  12. Postpublished at 21:47 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

Van Gerwen v Van der Voort

So much love from the crowd for Vincent van der Voort as they chant his name to the tune of his walk-on song, Baby Give It Up.

Three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen gets the same treatment but to Seven Nation Army.

It's win-win for the home fans in this one.

  13. Postpublished at 21:44 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

Van Gerwen v Van der Voort

Two big mates go head-to-head to round things off tonight - and it's an All-Dutch encounter so the crowd will really be into this.

It's Michael van Gerwen against Vincent van der Voort.

This should be a good one!

  14. Postpublished at 21:42 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

    Humphries 6-0 Wattimena

Domination from the world number one and he was a long way short of his best.

Luke Humphries didn't hit a single 180, averaged 93.94 and hit only six of 13 checkout attempts but was still streets ahead of Jermaine Wattimena.

I'd fancy we'll see much better from Humphries and Luke Littler tomorrow night.

  15. Job done for Humphriespublished at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

    Humphries 6-0 Wattimena

A blink-and-you'll-miss-it win for Luke Humphries.

He races to a 6-0 win over Jermaine Wattimena with a minimum of fuss.

He sets up a tantalising quarter-final against Luke Littler - a repeat of the World Championship final.

  16. Clean sweep on the cards?published at 21:36 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

    Humphries 5-0 Wattimena

    Start the car...

Luke Humphries breaks again after hitting double top at the second attempt.

He'll have the darts as he tries to complete a clean sweep.

  17. Four in a row for Humphriespublished at 21:35 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

    Humphries 4-0 Wattimena

    Ruthless from Luke Humphries.

He is getting better and better as this game goes on, which is bad news for Jermaine Wattimena, who has been trailing from the off.

  18. Humphries punishes Wattimenapublished at 21:34 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

    Humphries 3-0 Wattimena

Another break of throw for Luke Humphries after Jermaine Wattimena missed two darts at double 18.

Humphries had nearly taken out 104 on his previous visit and made no mistake hitting double 16 to extend his lead.

  19. Humphries holdspublished at 21:31 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

    Humphries 2-0 Wattimena

Luke Humphries makes a bit of a meal of it when left with just 40 so, with Jermaine Wattimena behind by some distance, busts himself.

It's a good decision and he mops up on his next visit. The world champion is two up and cruising.

  20. Humphries breaks first uppublished at 21:30 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

    Humphries 1-0 Wattimena

Luke Humphries throws his head back in disgust about getting just 27 when left with 132.

He shows his class on his next visit, effortlessly taking out 105 for the early break of throw.
