Welcome back. Earlier today, we were all about looking back over the weekend's action.

Now it's time to look ahead.

Right, we're going to take a break. We'll be back in a couple of hours for all of the FA Cup news conferences, heraing from the likes of Jurgen Klopp, Frank Lampard and Brendan Rodgers.

Also, the 2016 EFL Cup winners were Manchester City, meaning the three-handled trophy has gone to Manchester for the past five years. The previous winners before that were Chelsea, in 2015. 1,828 days ago.

Manchester City won it the year before that, too. Five EFL Cups in seven years.

In case you're wondering, the last time anyone other than Manchester City won the EFL Cup was Manchester United, when they beat Southampton in the 2017 final. That was 1,100 days ago.

Forget what I've done between Liverpool defeats. Since anyone other than Man City won the league cup I've moved house twice, had 2 promotions, had 2 children, conquered 2 Oktoberfests, climbed Kilimanjaro and got married.

Remember, it's the return of the FA Cup this evening, with the first of eight midweek ties taking place at Fratton Park, where Portsmouth host Arsenal.

Do you know much about Portsmouth's owner? It's a Mickey Mouse story. Seriously.

    You can read it here.

That will take some beating. I'd like to know of the babies that were born on or around 3 January 2019. They'll be walking by now.

Now, don't get me wrong, I am a massive Noel Gallagher fan. Oasis were magnificent and I really like his solo stuff. More than Liam's, although the other Gallagher brother is doing very well for himself.

But if you're a very young Manchester City player, perhaps not from the UK, you might wonder 'who is that bloke who keeps showing up in the dressing room?'

Did you see these celebrations from inside the Manchester City dressing room?

  16. Jenas' judgement on Mourinhopublished at 08:22 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2020

Spurs suffered a third successive defeat on Sunday, beaten 3-2 at home by Wolves.

We all know their problems up front, with injuries to Harry Kane and Son Hueng-min.

But do the issues go deeper than that? And has Jose Mourinho made any impact since taking over from Mauricio Pochettino.

Former Spurs midfielder Jermaine Jenas has analysed their current plight and you can read that here.
