Swansea City have enjoyed a fine start to the season and sit just a point outside the automatic promotion places, while things have looked up recently for the Bluebirds who are up to ninth.

Cardiff have won their last two home league games, 4-0 against Luton and 3-0 against Huddersfield. They haven’t won three in a row without conceding at home since February 2018.

The Swans, who have the best defensive record in the Championship will be buoyed by the fact Cardiff have failed to score in their last three league games against them. They've never gone four derbies without scoring.

However, Swansea have won one of their last six away league games against Cardiff, a 1-0 win in November 2010 with Marvin Emnes scoring the winner.

Swansea have lost two of their last three league away games, as many as their previous 16 in the Championship on the road.

However, a note of caution for Cardiff fans.

Bluebirds boss Neil Harris has never beaten Swansea as a manager in three previous attempts in the Championship.

Swansea also have some good team news, with centre-backs Ryan Bennett and Marc Guehi passed fit to return.

Their recalls see Cardiff-born Ben Cabango and Joel Latibeaudiere drop to the bench, while midfielder Jay Fulton replaces Yan Dhanda in the other change from Tuesday's goalless draw with Bournemouth.

The headline team news for Cardiff is that Wales midfielder Harry Wilson starts after injuring his arm during Tuesday's 2-1 win at Stoke.

That means Cardiff manager Neil Harris is able to name the same line-up for a fifth successive match.
