British Superbikes: Glenn Irwin finishes fourth in 2020 series

Glenn Irwin has been contending for the British Superbike crown on his new Honda Fireblade
Northern Ireland's Glenn Irwin finished fourth in the 2020 British Superbike Championship which has been won for a second time by Australian Josh Brookes.
Irwin had to settle for disappointing 12th and 11th place finishes in the final two races of the series at the Brands Hatch GP circuit on Sunday.
Brookes won both of Sunday's races to claim the title by 21 points from Jason O'Halloran, with Christian Iddon third.
Andrew Irwin was fourth and fifth to end in sixth place in the standings.
PBM Ducati rider Brookes previously won the title in 2015 and has also finished runner-up in the championship on four occasions.
The 37-year-old was second behind his then team-mate Scott Redding in last year's series.
Iddon, who assumed Redding's seat with the Cumbria-based team for this season, finished nine points adrift of Yamaha pilot O'Halloran in the final championship positions.
Both Irwin brothers were competing on a new Honda Fireblade machine for the truncated six-round 2020 series, with triple-headers being staged at each round.
Brookes took the chequered flag from O'Halloran and Iddon in Sunday's first race and was then a lights-to-flag winner of race two from Tarran Mackenzie and Saturday's race winner O'Halloran.
In the Supersport races, Ballynahinch's Korie McGreevy was fifth and Fermanagh native Lee Johnston sixth in both events.
Donegal brothers Rhys and Caolan Irwin were first and second in the closing Superstock 600cc outing of the season, with Rhys taking second in the series.
