Castleford Tigers captain Danny Orr signs new contract
Castleford Tigers captain Danny Orr has signed a one-year contract extension for next season.
Orr, in his second spell with the Tigers, told 大象传媒 Radio Leeds: "There's a good feeling around the club.
"I know the results haven't been going our way of late and the performances haven't been there, but we're more than confident we can put things right.
"We're in seventh with eight games left and hopefully we can finish strongly and cement our place in the play-offs."
The 33-year-old scrum-half returned to his hometown club at the start of the current season after spells at Wigan and Harlequins.
"It's a club I supported as a youngster and I got to play for them and captain them.
"It's just really special - I'm proud and honoured to be able to play for this team and also to captain them. It's a dream come true."
Orr's decision to stay came just a day after coach Terry Matterson announced his departure at the end of the season, a move which Orr believes will not be too disruptive to the club.
"Whoever comes in next year will take over a good squad and will probably add to that and hopefully we can become a really big force in Super League.
"I'll wish them all the best and I'll work as hard as I can for them, but you can't worry about things like that. We've just got to concentrate on playing this year and see what that brings."
As well as remaining a full-time player, Orr will also take on junior coaching duties at the club.
