Hull bid moves forward for 2013 Rugby League World Cup
Hull's bid to host matches at the 2013 World Cup has received a major boost, according to Rugby Football League chief executive Nigel Wood.
His comments come after a near sell-out crowd at the KC Stadium for
Wood told 大象传媒 Look North: "There are two fine clubs in the city and we have a deadline to work to.
"I think it would be a major surprise if there isn't something of the World Cup in 2013."
The city's plan is to host matches at Hull Kingston Rovers' Craven Park ground with a major game, such as a semi-final, at the KC Stadium.
The KC Stadium is also earmarked for the Exiles game between England and the best of Super League's overseas players in 2012.
