Nsemba among Super League young player award nominees
Wigan Warriors forward Junior Nsemba, Warrington Wolves second-rower Matty Nicholson and St Helens prop George Delaney have been nominated for the 2024 Super League Young Player of the Year award.
It is the first time in five years that the award - which will be presented at rugby league's awards night on 8 October - will definitely be won by a forward.
The award is determined by the members of England Rugby League's performance unit and is eligible to players who were under the age of 21 at the start of the Super League season.
Nsemba has been part of a Wigan side that has won the Challenge Cup and League Leaders' Shield this season while Nicholson and Delaney helped their respective sides reach the play-offs in 2024.
Warrington winger Josh Thewlis won the award in 2023, with talismanic St Helens full-back Jack Welsby claiming it in 2021 and 2022.
The nominees for Super League's Coach of the Year award will be announced on Tuesday while the nominees for this season's Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel award will be announced on Wednesday.
