Hull FC have appointed former Warrington Wolves hooker Jon Clarke as a high performance consultant as part of incoming head coach John Cartwright's backroom staff ahead of the 2025 season.

The 45-year-old made over 350 career appearances with Wigan Warriors, London Broncos, Warrington Wolves and Widnes Vikings, and also represented Great Britain.

Most recently, he worked with NRL side Manly Sea Eagles as their head of performance after a spell in rugby union with the England team during the 2019 World Cup and the British and Irish Lions for their tour of South Africa in 2021.

鈥淚t鈥檚 going to be great to be able to work with a club like Hull FC for the next three years and I鈥檓 really grateful to [director of rugby] Richie [Myler] and Carty [John Cartwright] for the opportunity,鈥 Clarke said.

鈥淚鈥檝e been involved with rugby league for 35 years, and I鈥檝e been a head of performance internationally in both codes of rugby for the past ten years.

"Now I feel it is my opportunity to give something back to the game in a different way with this new role with Hull FC 鈥 one I am very much looking forward to.鈥

Clarke arrives at the club following a disappointing 2024 for the Airlie Birds, who finished 11th in Super League on points difference with only three wins.
