St Helens have signed Australian outside back Tristan Sailor on a deal from next season which will run until the end of the 2026 campaign.

The 26-year-old, who can also play at full-back and half-back, will join Saints from NRL side Brisbane Broncos.

Sailor began his NRL career with St George Illawarra Dragons and will fly to the UK to begin pre-season later this year.

"Back when I was at the Dragons, James Graham told me all about the English fans and the Saints fans especially and how passionate they are for their rugby so I’m really looking forward to coming over,"

“It’s always been a goal of mine to come over and play in the UK at the top level, so to do that was a big appeal for me and I’m super grateful to Saints for giving me the opportunity to do that."

Sailor was released by the Dragons following the conclusion of the 2020 NRL season and went on to join Souths Logan Magpies in the Queensland Cup in 2022.

He was then signed on a train and trial deal for 2023 by the Broncos and eventually made his debut against the New Zealand Warriors in May 2023.

A two-year contract extension followed and he has gone on to make nine senior appearances for the Broncos.
