Jersey made it three wins from three with a 31-10 triumph over Sedgley Park in an ill-tempered National One clash at St Peter.

Donovan Sanders, James Copsey (2) and Ed Dawson touched down for Jersey.

Garth Dew and Nick Flynn scored unconverted tries for the Sedgley Tigers in the second half but they could not close the gap.

In total six yellow cards were brandished - two for the islanders and four for the visitors.

The game marked a Jersey debut for 17-year-old Chris Levesley and the teenager went close to scoring twice late on.

The winger, who has come through the local academy, was denied though by a high tackle and then by what the referee ruled as a forward pass.

Jersey head coach Ben Harvey said: "I thought he was fantastic and he handled it so well. He's only a little lad and I think he's got a great future ahead of him."

Fellow youngster Michael Le Bourgeois successfully converted all four tries for the hosts and maintained a perfect kicking record with a penalty.

Steve O'Brien and Charlie Clyde-Smith were sin-binned for Jersey. Garth Dew, Richard Oxley, Adam Lewis and Matt Riley saw yellow for the visitors.

Sedgley Park coach Richard Senior told ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Jersey: "To have a game where we're playing with 12 and they're playing with 14 is almost farcical.

"We needed to score first in the second half but we didn't."

The win means Jersey move up to eighth in the National League One table, while Sedgley Park stay in 11th spot.
