Cornish Pirates needed a penalty try in injury-time to overcome Munster 10-6 at Clonmel to keep up their perfect record in the British and Irish Cup.

Rob Cook got the only points of the first half as his penalty put the Pirates 3-0 up at the break.

The Irish side hit back in the second half with two penalties before Dave Ward's kicks downfield put the Pirates within five metres of the try line.

They eventually forced the penalty try to go top of their group.

The victory means the Pirates are well on course to reach the knockout stages of the tournament which they won in 2009.
