Martin Castrogiovanni: Leicester prop may join Toulon
Leicester Tigers chief executive Simon Cohen says Martin Castrogiovanni could still join Toulon despite the French club's owner insisting the deal is off.
Mourad Boudjellal has been quoted as saying Leicester wanted too much money.
Cohen has said Tigers will gladly keep the Italy prop, 31, but need a decision soon as they do not want to miss out on the replacement they have lined up.
"There are no guarantees one way of the other but I don't think the deal is off," Cohen told 大象传媒 Radio Leicester.
"Our position has always been that we don't to lose the potential replacement.
"We will have to make a call early next week and we will chat with Toulon if they want to chat. And if not we will chat with Castro and see what can be done and see where he wants to be."
The two clubs meet on Sunday in the Heineken Cup quarter-finals.
