Wales flanker Callender joins Harlequins
Wales flanker Alex Callender has joined Harlequins Women ahead of the new Premiership Women's Rugby season.
Callender has been one of Wales' outstanding players in recent years but was left without a club following the collapse of Worcester Warriors Women last autumn.
She instead captained Brython Thunder in this year's Celtic Challenge.
Her leadership skills have also seen her named Wales' vice-captain under Hannah Jones.
"Since Worcester folded, it has been really important for me to find a club with a similar family feeling and Quins is definitely that," Callender said.
"I can't wait to get going."
Callender made her Test debut against France in the 2018 Women's Six Nations and at just 23, has already made 37 appearances.
She was one of the positives in Wales' disappointing 2024 campaign, playing every minute and finishing the Six Nations as top tackler and ball carrier.
She will link up with international team mates Carys Phillips, Abbie Fleming and Lisa Neumann at The Stoop.
