England back row Maddie Feaunati has signed a new contract with Exeter Chiefs.

The Bath-born forward moved to the Chiefs in October from New Zealand where she grew up.

She made her England debut in this year's Six Nations, featuring in every game.

Her sister Zara has also joined the club. Exeter have not disclosed the length of either player's contract.

"I really enjoyed my time with Chiefs in the autumn and was keen to return when the opportunity arose, so it was an easy decision to decide to stay with a long-term contract at Sandy Park," Maddie Feaunati told the club's website.

Head coach Susie Appleby added: "She is a powerful ball carrier but also a pleasure to have in our squad.

"When Zara expressed an interest in coming to the UK too, we were only too happy to have her on board. She is a versatile player so will be a useful addition."
