Guernsey's Miles Munro produced a brilliant swim to win the Under 17/18 50m freestyle title at the National Youth Championships.
The 17-year-old clocked a time of 22.88 seconds to win the title by nearly half a second in Sheffield.
Munro, , also finished 10th in the semi-finals of the 100m free on Friday.
"It's quite an achievement," his coach Alison Frankland told 大象传媒 Guernsey.
"We weren't sure how he'd perform, having to peak twice in such a short space a time but it was a really great swim.
"He's very committed and dedicated and he was determined to win the 50m free."
Munro has been invited by British Swimming to join its sprint training camp, but Frankland said there was a long way to go before he could be considered as a genuine prospect at international level.
"He's got a lot of work to do," she added. "If he wants to reach that level then he has got to increase his training programme.
"He just missed out on the British record at U17 level so he's on the way but there's a lot of hard work before he can represent Great Britain - but it would be really nice for him."
