Adam Peaty & Ben Proud break Mare Nostrum championship records in Barcelona

Adam Peaty goes into next month's World Championships in Gwangju as the reigning world champion in the 50m and 100m breaststroke
Britain's Adam Peaty and Ben Proud broke Mare Nostrum series championship records in Barcelona before the World Championships next month.
World champion Peaty, 24, finished the 50m breaststroke in 26.55 seconds, while world champion Proud, 24, clocked 21.58 seconds in the 50m freestyle.
Georgia Davies, Anna Hopkin, Holly Hibbott also won gold in the 50m backstroke, 100m freestyle, 400m freestyle respectively.
Thomas Dean won the 200m freestyle.
James Wilby took silver in the 200m breaststroke and Daniel Jervis won silver in the 1500m freestyle.
There was also a bronze medal for Duncan Scott behind Dean in the 200m freestyle.
On Saturday, Peaty broke the series' 100m breaststroke record for the second time in a week, both times ahead of Wilby, 25.
The Olympic champion and world record holder in the event had already broken it on Tuesday in the second event of the series in Canet, France.
Writing on , Peaty said it was "strong prep" ahead of next month's World Championships in South Korea.
Dean also struck gold on Saturday, winning the men's 200m individual medley with Scott taking silver.
There were bronze medals for Hannah Miley (women's 400m individual medley), Luke Greenbank (men's 200m backstroke) and Molly Renshaw (women's 200m breaststroke).
The Mare Nostrum took place at three venues this month, which also included Monaco last weekend.
