Hannah Silcock: Jersey table tennis player wins Home Nations International women's title
Jersey's Hannah Silcock says she was impressed with how she played as she won the women's singles at the Home Nations International in Bangor.
The 16-year-old won 14 of her 15 matches and beat England's Mollie Patterson in the semi-finals before overcoming Ireland's Mia O'Rahilly Egan in the final.
It comes after Silcock reached the last 32 of the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
"It was a great tournament and I played really well on the day," Silcock said.
"I was the youngest in the age group," she added to 大象传媒 Radio Jersey.
"I could have played the juniors but I thought I would get better match experience in the seniors."
Silcock hopes she will be able to put that good experience to use in the coming years.
"I want to represent Jersey at another Commonwealth Games, maybe also an Olympic Games if there's a possibility.
"Probably not the next one as that would be a bit too tight, but maybe 2028, that would be a dream."
