Jenna McCorkell in line for Winter Olympics selection
Northern Ireland's Jenna McCorkell is in line to compete at next year's Winter Olympics after Team GB secured a place in the ladies singles event.
The International Skating Union has allocated places based on results at World Championships in Ontario in which McCorkell finished in 20th place.
Last December, the Coleraine woman won her 10th British title.
Her place at the Olympics in Sochi in February 2014 has still to be officially confirmed.
McCorkell has to be nominated by the National Ice Skating Association before her selection is finalised by the British Olympic Association.
She is hoping to get the chance to make up for a disappointing 29th-place finish at the last Winter Olympics in Vancouver three years ago.
