LEFT FRONT AND BACK (worked all in one with right front 鈥 see ^^ below) Work as for right front reversing all shapings 鈥 e.g. cast on stitches at beginnings of rows, and work the 鈥榯urn鈥 rows on the purl side.听 Complete until short edge measures the same as the right front ending with as purl row.With right side facing of left front, knit across stitches and cast on 15 stitches for back of neck and then knit across right front. (85 sts)听听 ^^Continue in stocking stitch until work measures 3ins from cast on stitches at back of neck, finishing at end of a k row.Work sleeve turnings:-1st row: p to last 3 sts, turn2nd row: k to last 3 sts, turn3rd row: p to last 6 sts, turn4th row: k to last 6 sts, turnContinue as above, working 3 less sts on each row until the row 鈥渒 to last 12 sts, turn鈥 has been worked.Next row: p to end.Cast off 15 sts at beginning of next 2 rows.Dec. 1 st at both ends of 3rd row following and every alt. row until 47 sts remain.Work 16 rows stocking st.and then 4 rows in moss stitch.Cast off. CUFFS Pick up and knit up 32 sts at sleeve edge and work 6 rows moss st.Cast off and repeat on other sleeve edge. EDGING BAND N.B.听 Picture has 7 sts for band, you may prefer to just use 5 sts. Cast on 7 (or 5) sts.Moss st. 6 rows1st Buttonhole row: knit 3 (or 2 if using total of 5) wool round needle, k2tog., k 3 (or 2)** Moss stitch 14 rows and work another buttonhole, Repeat from ** once more.3 buttonholes in total.Continue in moss st. until work measures right around cardigan edge when slightly stretched.听听 Cast off. MAKE UP Fold inside out and stitch under armholes from hem to sleeve edge on both sides.Stitch band to cardigan edge with buttonholes on right side (left as you look at it!)Attach 3 buttonholes to correspond with band.
