The misery of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Karen has to have a lot of patience, and a lot of space, to put up with her husband’s OCD… ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Stoke's Mick Tucker went to see them

How easy do you find it to throw things away? If you look round your house, could you do with a bit of a clear out?Ìý Well, whilst you might be able to wait till next spring to get rid of some of that junk, spare a thought for Karen.

She's been married to Roy for 32 years and for most of that time, he's been filling their 10 bedroom house with junk he says he can't part with.

Roy suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and is a compulsive hoarder. Karen's been caring for him all this time and she now lectures on his condition at Staffordshire University.

Our reporter Mick Tucker went to their quiet Staffordshire village, to see what they had in store...
