Somerleyton Hall was built in 1844 to reflect the wealth of the new Victorian aristocracy. It was designed in Anglo-Italian style by Sir Morton Peto. No expense was spared in the elaborate architectural features and paintings were specially commissioned.

The Hall, set in 12 acres of gardens, is now the family home of Lord and Lady Somerleyton.

The sweeping lawns and formal gardens provide colour and interest throughout the year and it has a yew hedge maze dating back to 1846.

There are picnic areas, play areas, tea room and gift shop. All areas of the hall and gardens are wheelchair accessible.
