A Suffolk T Girl

by Kirsty
It's not my intention to convert or preach to the sceptics or the non participating public although if you are curious, please read on. Many may claim they know what being transgendered means but chances are they are probably wrong or misguided.

It would however take many pages to explain who we are and the true meaning of word ‘transgender’. Rather than trying to explain, all we really ask is for acceptance, we are proud and privileged to be who we are whilst at the same hopefully, upsetting or hurting no-one on our little journey through life’s rich and diverse tapestry. Our main aim here is to provide a first step for those who are perhaps closet crossdressers and maybe even for those who are already established in the TG scene.

>

For those of you however who may be feeling fearful, lonely, or looking for help and advice or even friendship, then this page may provide some assistance. Hopefully, this will put you in touch with those who care and understand. I know; I was once a closet ‘tranny’ myself, scared of being discovered and with no-one to turn to.

Thankfully, things have moved on a long way since then. I have, like so many, discovered my true identity and now live life to the full, enjoying the company of other like minded friends. There are many on-line moderated groups where you will find help, can share your experiences, learn from others or even buy all your girlie needs if you haven’t yet plucked up the courage to hit the high street.

If like me, you are into meeting others and making some great friends, there are a number of pubs and clubs which provide regular and safe, discreet facilities. Most will either provide TG only nights or maybe shared with the Gay & Lesbian community. In both cases and as far as East Anglia goes unfortunately, Suffolk is not yet well serviced so currently, you may need to look slightly further afield.Ìý

Whilst Suffolk is proud to say it is one of the safest counties in the country, we would like to hear of any instances of abuse, verbal or otherwise. Any form of discrimination is unacceptable and the TG community has as much right to live in peace and safety as any other.
