Santa Murphy and Santa Foster The festive-themed fundraiser was organised by The East Anglian Children's Hospice (EACH), who were delighted with the turnout for the inaugural event in Ipswich. Participants were sponsored to run 2km around the central Ipswich park, but the overwhelming popularity of the event provided a handy excuse for some: "I'd love to have run the 2k but there were so many people taking part that I had to walk it," said 大象传媒 Radio Suffolk presenter Stephen Foster, who also acted as official starter of the run. "I was absolutely devastated, but at least the St John Ambulance weren't required." Santas on the run in Christchurch Park Foz's colleague Mark Murphy also completed the course. The Breakfast Show presenter was hoping to get rid of a few pounds put on by eating too many mince pies! Sue Meader from EACH hailed the day as a big success: "It really was a great day. As well as raising a lot of money, it raised lots of smiles and laughter too." A Christmas version of Where's Wally? Although Foz is unlikely to put his trainers on again in the near future, the Drivetime presenter was pleased to have helped EACH: "Having been to an EACH open day at the children's hospice in Ipswich I admire greatly the work that goes on there.
