Tunnel Vision

Did you know that beneath Suffolk there are a number of hidden tunnels, secret passages and perhaps even old smugglers' routes? We're on a quest to unearth more details about these hidden hideaways and would like your help.

As part of his regular Sunday show, 大象传媒 Radio Suffolk presenter Rob Dunger started hearing more and more of your stories about hidden tunnels underneath Suffolk's towns and villages.

"A few weeks ago I came across an archive photograph which really got my curiosity going," said Rob.

"It was a picture showing a tunnel under the church at Grundisburgh, and immediately I needed to know more about it.

"I wanted to find out if there were more hidden passages and tunnels in or county and callers to the programme revealed loads of stories - some factual, others anecdotal.

"This is how this project started and now we need your help."

If you have any stories about the secret cellars of Bury St Edmunds, coastal smugglers' routes or any tunnels beneath Suffolk we would love to hear from you.

Please give us a call on 01473 340 707 or drop Rob an email using the address below:
