Jodie and her David Tennant cutout From outside the Robertsons' detached house in Kesgrave looks nice enough, but it doesn't stand out from the surrounding properties. Head inside and it's a similar story. But if you go upstairs you soon realise that things are slightly out of the ordinary, as one of the bedroom doors is a replica of Doctor Who's TARDIS - complete with flashing blue light. "I was at my dad's one day and I came back and they all said 'close your eyes'," said Jodie Robertson. "They took me upstairs, told me to open my eyes and there was my own TARDIS flashing away at me." The door is thanks to Jodie's mum Angie, who is also Doctor Who crazy and appeared on TV herself in 2009 as part of Channel 4's Come Dine With Me. "One Christmas Jodie said 'mum, I've seen this amazing episode of Doctor Who' and from that day she's been absolutely hooked." Behind the TARDIS door is something of a shrine to Doctor Who. Posters, a bedsheet and a life-size cardboard cutout of her hero are all in tribute to the Doctor and Tennant. "I've met him twice, he's ever so nice," said Jodie, who was sad at the news of Tennant leaving Doctor Who when 大象传媒 Suffolk's Kate Arkell visited. "It came as a bit of a shock. There's no one who could do better but we like the man who played The Master, John Simm. But it's hard to think of anyone apart from David Tennant because that's who I'm used to." "We thought Richard Hammond might be good," said Angie. "But then you'd get Clarkson as well and we're not sure they'd all fit in the TARDIS." (French) fancy a chat?Whilst Doctor Who has been off air Angie and Jodie have been getting their fix of David Tennant by heading to Stratford Upon Avon to see him on stage in Hamlet. "We bought tickets for the first day and it's absolutely amazing," said Angie. "It's the best bit of theatre I've seen ever and he (David) comes out after every performance. Jodie clung to the rails and didn't want him to go. "I chatted to him as I'd sent him some French fancies, which is his favourite cake, and all I could think to say to this man who rules our lives is 'did you get your cakes, David?' And he went 'oh, aye'. "I thought that's it, that's my chance gone. I never ever believed I would say 'did you get your cakes?' There's a thousand things I want to ask him and I said 'did you get your cake!'" last updated: 29/01/2009 at 14:20 Have Your Say
