We all know the importance of assemblies. They allow children to listen attentively and join in on activities. They鈥檙e a good way of getting a child鈥檚 brain in motion early on in the day.
This 500 Words assembly pack was designed to do so. This pack will introduce pupils to the competition, what prizes they can win as well as emphasising this contest focuses purely on idea generation and the creativity.
It allows for group discussions on the type of books they like to read and why and through that can help spark potential ideas for their own 500 Words submission,
The final step highlights one of our favourite success stories from the competition, two sisters from Northampton, who entered the competition back in 2019. Despite not making it through the first round, the siblings built on their 500 stories and experience and a year later self-published their own novels
