You could ask your pupils to divide into groups and discuss the concept of a place of worship, and whether it is a necessary element of religion.

You could also ask your pupils to research the most important religious buildings of Buddhism, Sikhism, Hinduism, Shintoism and Taoism.

This short film will be relevant for teaching KS3 Religious Studies in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and 3rd and 4th Level Religious and Moral Education in Scotland.
