Animals catching their prey and hunting for food.

We see a dolphin catching fish, a monkey cracking nuts and a variety of species in the animal kingdom feeding themselves in an array of spectacular and clever ways.

Teacher Notes

This clip can be used in the classroom or in an assembly as a way of starting a conversation or as inspiration for artwork, poems or stories.

Questions to ask the class include:

  • What did you learn about the way animals get their food?
  • How does a dolphin get food? How does a gorilla find its food?
  • Can you think of how a lion in the wild might catch its food and what it might eat?

Pupils could write a story, imagining they are one of the animals in the clip as it searches for food.
