TURBO:I've worked with artists such as Will Smith, Madonna and Witney Huston. House was born in America in the 1970s.
TURBO:It's one of the only street dance styles that started out in the clubs, and not in the streets.
TURBO:Now let's start by finding the beat. Hip-hop is on the down beat. House is on the up beat.
TURBO:'By dancing on the up beat, House allows dancer's arms to be free, 'and let the beat take control of their movements.
TURBO:'House is a club dance, 'there are foundation steps, 'but you still have the freedom to add your own flavour.'
TURBO:To help me do this, I've enlisted the help of鈥
ALL:The Masters of Motion dance crew from Essex!
DANCER ONE:We got through to the heats of the Alesha's Street Dance Stars competition.
TURBO:You had me, I was getting down. Like, you guys were really, really, really sick.
TURBO:Before we get started, health and safety is really important when you're dancing. So make sure that You鈥 'Remove all jewellery. 'Get rid of any chewing gum.
TURBO:'Drink plenty of water. 'Rest if you feel tired at any point. 'Wear the right clothing and footwear. 'Spread out and use all the space in the room.'
TURBO:Before you start dancing, it's important to warm up your muscles. I like to warm up because it helps me find my focus to perform. Okay, we're going to start with our jacks and get into the warm up. You guys ready?
ALL:Yeah.
TURBO:You sure?
ALL:Yes.
TURBO:Okay, here we go. Starting with our jacks, five, six, seven, and鈥 Two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, speed it up, go.
TURBO:One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, heel and toe, slow.

TURBO:Here we go. With jacks, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, speed it up. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
TURBO:One, two, three, four, five, six, heel and toe, go. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, speed it up, go. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
TURBO:One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Okay, stand where you are. Hands come up.
TURBO:Take them out. And again.
TURBO:And out. Take your right arm, put it across your chest. Bring your left arm up and pull it gently. Not too hard. I want no-one to injure themselves.
TURBO:Okay, release that arm, shake it. Other arm, across your chest. Pull it gently.
TURBO:That's it. And relax and shake. Hands out in front of you and rotate your wrists. That's it. Stop. Other way round. Shake.
TURBO:Take one hand, put it behind your back. Grab the elbow and gently pull on it. Not too hard.
TURBO:That's it, relax. Arms up, and the other arm. Put it behind your back, grab the elbow and pull on it gently.
TURBO:Still move as well while you're stretching. Alright. Okay arms out. Shake.
TURBO:Last stretch, feet together. Here. Head down to your chest, go down to your toes.
TURBO:That's it. Stay there for a little bit. And bend your knees. And then come up really slowly.
TURBO:And shake. And that's your warmup. 'Keep on the balls of your feet. 'and let your arms be free.'
TURBO:Okay guys, I'm going to teach you section one. We'll go through the jacks and the pas de bourrees, okay? So first off we slowly jack your body, and it's push up from your knees, going through your waist, up to your body. Okay, so you go down, up.
TURBO:Down, up, down, up, down, up. OK, it's very slow paced OK? Do that again, so you're going to go down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up. OK? From there, you're going to go into your pas de bourree.
TURBO:Going to take your leg, it's going to step behind, left leg steps out, step on your right. Okay, and it's done really slowly.
TURBO:Do it again, taking your other foot, put it behind, you step out, step it on the other foot, OK? So let's go from the top. Very slowly.
TURBO:So we've got jack, here, jack, here, jack, and jack. Then step, step, step for your pas de bourree, step, step, step, OK?
TURBO:Now from here, you're going to do the pas de bourree again, but this time you're going to do it four times, and it's going to be slightly faster. OK, same step, this time you're going step, step, step.
TURBO:Other side, step, step, step. Again, step, step, step. Step, step, step.
TURBO:Now we're going to go with the counts. So, we're going to go one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
TURBO:Now let's do it to some music. You guys ready? You guys ready?
ALL:Yeah.

TURBO:'Don't forget your jack. 'to bend your knees. 'And double time on your pas de bourree.'
TURBO:Now I'm going to teach you section two. This uses stomps, retreats, shuffles, and tic-tac-toe.
TURBO:OK, we'll start with our stomps. What you're going to do is jump up and raise your leg up in the air.
TURBO:Keeping it up, then you put the foot down. And you jump out. Do the exact same thing on the other leg.
TURBO:Jump up, put the foot down, and you jump out. From here we'll move to our retreats. You're going to raise your leg, and turn at the same time. So you jump up, raising the leg, put the foot down, and then jump out.
TURBO:Do the exact same move again, going the opposite direction. Leg up, foot goes down, and then you jump out. From here we're going to go to the shuffles.
TURBO:Coming up on the heels, twisting your toes out, heels come out, then the toes. Going to go back the opposite direction, toes, heels, toes.
TURBO:From here, we go into a move called the tic-tac-toe. So we go tic, tac, toe. Same thing, but we're going to take it to the front. On the heels, heels, back, back.
TURBO:Now let's do that with some counts. You guys ready? Here we go. Five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
TURBO:Five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
TURBO:Now let's do it to some music. You guys ready for the music?
ALL: Yes.
TURBO:You guys ready for the music?
ALL: Yeah.
TURBO:Are you guys ready for the music? You better be. Here we go.
TURBO:Five, six, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
TURBO:That was section two.
TURBO:'Remember, listen to the up beat on your stomp and retreat. 'Toe, heel, toe. 'And relax on your tic-tac-toe.'
TURBO:Now I'm going to teach you section three, which is your skates, your happy feet, dip and jack, and your jack-in-the-box.
TURBO:Okay, first we're going to start off with our skates. Going to take your right leg, going to skate out.
TURBO:Take your leg up, like you're playing baseball. Skate out again. Pick it up. Skate out. Pick it up.And take it out. For the last one, just extend it nice and slow. Okay, from here you're goingto go into your happy feet.
TURBO:Feet will cross. You uncross them. You cross them again. Uncross. From here you're going to jumponto both heels, going forwards.
TURBO:Whoa. That might happen. And then jump back. From here, you're going to dip down. To come up. And have two jacks on the centre.
TURBO:From here you're going to go into a jack-in-the-box. Going to go from one side to the other, and double it up on one side. So鈥
TURBO:One side, other side, double. One side, other side, double.
TURBO:Now with this you can do it however you want. You can do it up here, you can do it down here. As long as you're doing one, one, and then the other, okay? Let's do that with some counts. You guys ready?
ALL: Yeah.
TURBO:Here we go. Five, six, seven, eight.
TURBO:One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. And one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.

TURBO:Let's do all of that again, but this time with music. Ready to do it with music?
ALL: Yeah.
TURBO:You ready to do it with music?
ALL: Yeah.
TURBO:Here we go then, we go with some music.
TURBO:Five, six, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. And that is section three.

TURBO:You guys ready?
ALL: Yeah.
TURBO:You guys ready?
ALL: Yeah.
TURBO:I'm ready. You guys better be ready. Here's the music.
TURBO:Five, six, five, six, seven, eight.
TURBO:'To develop your routine further, 'you could try cannon.
TURBO:'Or you could try changing your positions.'
TURBO:It's very important to cool down after you've been dancing, to slow your heartrate down and to bring your breathing back to normal. Let's start by rotating our heads half way. There we go, round one way.
TURBO:Up, back round the other way. And again. And the other way.
TURBO:And look one direction. Then the other. The other direction. And the other. And look up. And down. Look up. Down. Rotate your shoulders backwards.
TURBO:And forwards. Okay, feet out nice and wide. And bring your feet in. Bend your knees. And stretch. And bend. And come up slowly. Shake it out. And that's your cooldown.
TURBO:Well done! You've just performed a house routine. Once you've identified the up beat, you just need to allow yourself to be free, and let the music take control. These guys did.
TURBO:So, that's bye from me, Turbo, and鈥
ALL:Masters of Motion.
