Introduction
A Christmas Carol is told in 9 episodes, each about 15 minutes long. You can read the on-screen original text while listening or stream / download audio-only versions of the story.
There is a set of for the series and a transcript of each episode which can be printed out, copied and distributed as you wish. Some of the spelling and grammar used reflects the 1843 first edition from which the text is taken.
I have endeavoured in this Ghostly little book to raise the Ghost of an Idea which shall not put my readers out of humour with themselves, with each other, with the season or with me. May it haunt their houses pleasantly, and no-one wish to lay it.

It is Christmas Eve and Ebenezer Scrooge is in his counting house.
Episode 2: Meeting with Marley. video
Scrooge returns home to be visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley.
Episode 3: The first of the three spirits. video
Scrooge is visited by the Spirit of Christmas Past and shown scenes from his childhood.
Episode 4: Master Fezziwig. video
Scrooge is back in the past, reliving his days as an apprentice to Mr Fezziwig.
Episode 5: The second of the three spirits. video
Scrooge is visited by the second of the three spirits and is taken to the home of Bob Cratchit.
Episode 6: Scrooge's nephew. video
Scrooge is shown others facing hardship at Christmas and then a party hosted by his nephew, Fred.
Episode 7: The last of the spirits. video
Scrooge is visited by the last of the three spirits and is shown scenes from a possible future.
Episode 8: An end to the haunting. video
Scrooge is taken once again to the Cratchit's house to witness the fate of Tiny Tim.
Episode 9: The end of it. video
A repentant Scrooge wakes on Christmas morning鈥nd is determined to make amends just as quickly as he can.
