Tea Side, a Travelling Tearoom is a van of performing artists travelling around Teesside in the hopes of bringing a cup of tea and a chance to chat to your area.

Part of the experience of the van is to meet the characters inside...

Rose

Rose is originally from Durham and has travelled quite a lot around the world.

She is passionate about tea and meeting people.

She met Bill twenty years ago when serving tea at a train station tearoom, they fell in love but he left without saying goodbye. They met up by accident three years ago and are managing Rose's dream of a travelling tearoom together!

Interesting Fact: Rose loves to sing whilst making tea.

Bill

Bill is from York he is a writer.

He is friendly but reserved and would prefer to settle down in one place rather than travelling so that he can read his vast library of books, watch his collection of great British films or practice his guitar chords!

Alberto

Alberto is a bright, friendly student from Portugal who is studying history in London.

His Aunt was a friend of Rose from a long time ago and suggested that he travelled up North to see more of England.

Alberto likes to collect coins. He finds it hard to get up in the morning and often delays the travelling tearoom... oh and he prefers coffee to tea!

Charlie

Charlie听is from Whitby and drives the travelling tearoom so that Rose and Bill can make all the preparations and check the stock.

His dream is to get his motorbike license and photograph every village in England!
