After a devastating loss, the 大象传媒 Tees sports team and Boro fans share their feelings on the match, and the future of the team...

Gary Gill, 大象传媒 Tees Middlesbrough summariser: "At 2-1, for me that was a crucial blow for them, and no surprise that they got the third with the substitute Lovenkrands. At that point the game was as good as over, even though there were still a few chances."

Chris, Middlesbrough supporter: "I feel ashamed, embarrassed and completely disgusted to be a Middlesbrough fan tonight. That was diabolical. How on Earth can we play like that in a must-win game?"

Alastair Brownlee, 大象传媒 Tees Middlesbrough commentator: "The players must be devastated, because they know now that their Premier League lives hang by the merest, slenderest of threads and that thread will be cut on Saturday if Middlesbrough simply don't win."

Stuart, Middlesbrough supporter: "We are going to go down to the Championship and we need to go back to the drawing board. I don't think we should sack Southgate, because I don't think it's all his fault."

Mark Drury, 大象传媒 Tees touchline commentator: "I was watching people out there on the pitch who are just stood there in shock.

"Marvin Emnes was the shock of the night to be selected from the start, his first Premier League appearance in this do or die game here at St James'. He ran his heart out all night and had that glorious chance and he was standing there in the far corner on his own, just stock still.

"He couldn't believe what he had just been part of."

Paul, Middlesbrough supporter: "The scales fell from my eyes months ago that we weren't good enough, but going into the Championship, there has got to be some positives to that; being one of the big fish, goals, victories, joyous away days for the club.

"For players who have forgotten how to win, losing is a habit and we are afflicted. Maybe a drop down for a season will sort that out."
