Footie fans will know MK Dons midfielder Malvin Kamara for his prowess with the ball, but this talented soccer star has vocal talents which until now have been kept under wraps.

The 21-year-old is all set to reveal himself as a singing sensation when he takes to the stage this weekend in aid of the tsunami victims.

Malvin and a host of others will be taking part in Local Stars for Tsunami, a charity concert this weekend at Stantonbury Campus.

The London-born footballer will be swapping his kit for evening wear as he performs a rendition of Sam and Dave's Soul Man and provides backing vocals for the popular Blues Collective.

"They know that whenever there's a karaoke I'll be up doing my Michael Jackson songs."
    Malvin

Malvin, who is in his third season with the League One MK Dons, admits that he loves singing and often entertains his fellow players.

"The rest of the team get used to me singing," he told 大象传媒 Beds, Herts & Bucks.

"They know that whenever there's a karaoke I'll be up doing my Michael Jackson songs.

"I love Michael Jackson and probably listen to him every day - no matter what happens to him in the future, in my book he will always be the greatest musical person there is."

Malvin stresses he is not looking for a recording contract from his star appearance, as football is his "first love".

"I sing mainly in karaokes these days and when I was at school I used to perform there. My brother is also a good singer and he does some backing vocals recordings in the studio," he said.

    "Honoured"

Malvin said he was asked to do backing vocals for the Blues Collective and he has enjoyed the rehearsals.

"They area a really great and professional group and I am very honoured they have let me join them on the night - I'm really looking forward to the event."

The event was organised by Lee Scriven on behalf of the MK Dons Supporters Club and also features comedians, singers and local radio personalities.

All money raised will go to the Milton Keynes based HOMSA (Hope Outreach Ministries South Asia) aid agency led by MK GP Dr Sam Muthuvelo who has been operating an orphanage in Navalddy in Sri Lanka for more than six years.
