Having surveyed my friends and family for this answer 99% of those polled said I tend to ask the same question over and over again until I get the answer I want to hear!

Claim to fame (other than being on Three Counties Radio):

I tread the boards on a regular basis with my local Am Dram group. Today Bedford, tomorrow Hollywood darling!

Most embarrassing moment (not on air):

For an evening of entertainment whilst at university I went to a hypnotism show. Now this is something I've never believed in and have always felt it's all a big set up. How wrong can a girl be! I volunteered to take part just to prove this to be the case. Two and a half hours later I finally left the stage and sat back in my seat. Although I remember nothing at all about the whole thing I am still constantly reminded by friends of the night I thought I really was Madonna, the love child of Prince Charles and a translator for aliens who came to visit from outer space! I've never had a night quite like it since.

Most embarrassing on air incident:

I was once arrested live on air on the Big George Breakfast Programme and spent the morning in a police cell and being interrogated. The policemen got so into their roles they almost convinced me I actually had done something wrong and I turned into a nervous wreck not saying much. (Never a good thing on an all speech station.) I then had to spend weeks afterwards explaining to people who had been listening I hadn't really done anything wrong and we did it to show the criminal justice process and how it works. Not sure some of them believe me even now!

Weirdest place you have ever spent the night:

In a wooden hunt on a beach in Thailand. I had to share what was apparently suppose to be a mattress with what felt like a few hundred mosquitoes, cockroaches and lizards, and there the only ones I recognised. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep. Was bitten from head to toe though.

I'm partial to a stroll down Bedford Embankment on a summers evening or wrapped up snuggly with my furry hat, scarf and gloves in the winter. Whatever the season a stop off at a local hostelry to quench my thirst always rounds it off nicely.

Desert island luxury:

My bed. I'm terrible if I don't get enough sleep.

Would hate to be in the Big Brother house with:

Anybody! You'd never catch me volunteering for that programme.

I stopped throwing away my old trainers and started saving them to do the garden in.
